Sausage Factory and Hand Job

So....we walked by a place called the sausage factory and walked by a nail salon called Hand Job...but indeed we did NOT eat sausage nor did anyone get/give a hand job :)

Instead, we started out at Fort Bragg at The Living Light Culinary Institute where Bob and I both downed a shot of wheatgrass and had a delicious breakfast consisting of smoothies and scones!

We also picked up some goodies including a "dream bar" which we have yet to try and some power bars which were a great pick me up for our drive!  We also stopped at a fresh apple cider stand and got something to drink!  It was super fresh.
Since our drive was rather long today, and rainy we also treated ourself to a truffle which was very decadent and we had to split it!

We arrived in San Francisco just in time to have a wonderful raw lunch at Cafe Gratitude!  We ordered "I am abundant", "I am cheerful", "I am rapture".  They were- a sampler platter, a burger, and a strawberry cake with ice cream.  Bob was shocked at how good the raw burger was and of course the dessert!  And since I made a slide show of the food today I'll talk about dinner first.  The waitress at Cafe Gratitude suggested we go to one of their other restaurants which was vegan but not raw, so we tried it; Gracias Madre.  We had guacamole, enchiladas and chile rellenos!  YUM!

In between the meals however we drove around San Fran and stopped at Mrs. Doubtfire's house, went to Castro street and took pictures of Harvey Milk's apartment, obviously drove the Golden Gate Bridge, and also went to Alcatraz which was a treat for us! We packed a lot into a little amount of time but it sure was fun! And like last night, we are so ready for bed! See you tomorrow!
